Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish actress and model. She made her movie debut as an actress and Bond actress in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte as Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was a model when her being approached by a aspiring photographer. She has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody was extremely cautious about doing glamour or nude work. The same rule continued into her acting career. She accepted a small role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after her name was picked by the director of casting. Doody was named as one the 12 most promising young actors in 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just turning 18 at the time she was cast in the role of Bond girl. She remains the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured an unimportant role in the form of IRA Siobhan. Doody played an unseen role as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias as she appeared in his dream, 1987's adaptation from The Secret Garden. Doody's first leading role came in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Doctor. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. She later moved to Hollywood.
